[03/02/09] Big Changes for MoM! (PLEASE Read.)

• I did say I had a lot planned for MoM this week, did I not? XD
  
• First of all, the Character Sig shop is now reopened, and completely revamped. Please go there and request a character sig! The old ones are officially obsolete, so I have gotten rid of them for you. :3
  
• Second, there's a new Contest happening in Written Pieces (we haven't had one in a while, so I figured it was time.). Please Check it out!
  
• And most importantly...
  Post counts are now obsolete as well. MoM is making the transition over to the Money system, using its own currency, Meles (Singular: Melos)!
  
  You will gain 5 Meles for each post you make (in the designated areas, of course), and all other ways you gained posts (Recruitments, Contests, etc.) will now give you Meles instead.
  
  You can use Meles in almost the same way as Post counts; to unlock exclusive Races, Character Sig patterns, Jobs, whatever. However, you will be spending Meles, not simply gaining exclusives by reaching a certain amount. Yup, meaning if it costs ¤200 Meles to unlock a certain race, you will post that you are purchasing it in that thread, you will lose ¤200 Meles, but gain that race.
  
  We're going to try out this new system for a while and see how well it works Please give feedback or ideas as to what we can do with this system! Thanks!

Anyway, yes, I forgot to mention, Kyah gets the credit for thinking up the name Meles XD Haha.

And don't worry Wistful, things won't be much harder since I'll probably make the prices for things pretty low ;D

I've gotta go around updating everything to the Meles system so please be patient. within the next couple of days, this whole transition is gonna make it kind of weird to get exclusive stuff xD Just don't worry about it until the whole Meles system is implemented and everything's been updated with Meles prices.

Wow! O.O! That is quite a few changes Kuro! ^.^ The Meles system will be a lot of fun (Though how is it pronounced? Mellies or Mells?) As well as the new character sigs and all the other new stuff happening at MoM. It really has come back in full force, this site! ^.^

It will makes things a little bit more challenging, while still giving us something to work towards and aspire to. Its a very good idea Kuro, and certainly an interesting addition to the forum, making it unique in many ways (though I've heard of the money system before, I've never actually seen it in use, making this a new experience). Great idea nonetheless though!
(I also wasn't to sure how to pronounce it, and kept on going from Mells to Melees, even after Kuro told me the proper pronounciation xD)
