Well, since I'm a Fatesayer, I don't really have the same perspective on posts/post counts/Meles as regular members do, so I'm looking for some help here. I need to decide on how to price things with the new Meles system, so I need to know what you guys think is appropriate. Please be fair and don't gave inane ideas like "Lol everything shud be 5 melez pls". Take into consideration the following: - Each post gets you 5 Meles. So think about how many posts you'd need to get to the price you're suggesting.
- The old requirements (For example that you'd need 20 Posts to get Level 2 Character sigs.). Check how much these would be as Meles (20 Posts x 5 = 100 Meles).
- But also take into consideration that you have to spend Meles, unlike with Post Counts which could never go down. This means you can't just get to 100 Meles and call it a day, being able to unlock everything that is 100 and below - you need to spend it on a certain thing.
I'm looking for help pricing things like Character slots and Races and Jobs. My initial (possible) price for Character Slots is 1000 Meles, as having the ability to create an entirely new character and go over the 5 Max limit should be something you have to really work to. Another member suggested 800~1000 Meles as well. Remember to take the above things into consideration before claiming something is too ridiculously under/overpriced. I appreciate the help ^^ It'll really help make this transition much smoother.

Needing another character slot would mean one has five characters already, all reasonably active, correct? That being the case, it shouldn't be too hard to save up the dough for it. I think that's a decent price, Kuro.

Exactly ^^ Plus if we made it too cheap, we might as well just abolish the 5 character rule. xD Another thing would be Jobs. Level 2 Jobs are 25, Level 3 are 75, and Level 4 are 100, so I'm thinking of having individual prices for each job, then a "Package deal" where you can purchase rights to an entire level. So like, it might cost 50 Meles to get a Level 2 Job, then 210 Meles or so to get a Level 2 package (Cheaper than spending 50 on each job). Still working it out though, so give feedback!

That sounds great! Although, I'm so slow at making new characters, I'll probably have enough for the package deal by the time I'm ready to make one, so of course I like it!

i don't quite understand what you mean by the package, like if you spent the 210 Meles, you will have access to every level 2 job?

Yup (Those are just random prices though, I haven't figured out the exact numbers yet).
So rather than paying 50 for Herbologist, Tamer, Witch, Alchemist, and Illusionist (coming up to 250 Meles), you pay a fixed price of 210 Meles for all of them.
Though I may make it so that paying 50 is a one-time thing, and you can make ONE of those. Then paying for the Package, you can have access to ALL those jobs, as often as you want. I really don't know, thats why I need feedback xD

So I have a quick question, Kuro.
Since I have a Pheonite, does that mean my chance to pick races from that level is reset? I'd imagine so, now that we have a new system set up and everything, but I just wanted to make sure. XD

Yup, sorry ^^; Anything you've already acquired from the old post system is fine, you can keep it (I'm not that mean xD), but if you want anything new, it'll have to be bought with the Meles system.

Ah, this makes sense. There's a lot to consider when going from a fully-accumulated post system to a system where you can spend things. But, this system with the package deal and such sounds reasonable. ^^ (And, I have a Witch character in mind, so...I'm really excited for it. xD)

This sounds good ^^ Although it might take awhile for me to make more characters. Question can you use a job that's free or less money and then when you have the money upgrade your character's job?

There are no set rules on Job-changing, because there are just too many scenarios to consider, seeing as a character's job usually ties in very closely with their backstory ^^; So if you ever feel the urge to change jobs, just run it by me first for approval.
