The Creators of Melodia: The Muses ~ + ~
Everyone in Melodia knows and believes that the world was created by The Three Muses of Melodia. They wove the world, looking at it as a composition of music, or as a great painting canvas. Each Muse has their own emblem, which are as old as Melodia itself. No one knows where they originated or how, except that they have been associated with each of the muses for as long as anyone can remember. Though there are very few Melodians who do not believe in The Muses, not everyone prays to the same one. Just like their followers, the beliefs of the Muses are very different, but as each Muse keeps to herself, it allows them to work peacefully and weave together a world of balance. ~ + ~ The Muse of Melody is the most popular deity of the three. She is said to be kind, caring, and believes that all intelligent living creatures are the most important part of the world. She's the one who provides holy and healing magic for all the Clerics of the world, and she is the one whom most of Melodia prays to. While most Churches pray to all three muses, seeing as it took the combined effort of all three to weave the world together, The Muse of Melody is by far the most preferred one. ~ + ~The second Muse is the Muse of Harmony. She firmly believes that the world itself is very important. She was the one who painted the mountains, rivers, forests, plants, and anything else in nature. Some even refer to her as the Mother of all Nature. While she doesn't dislike the creatures who live in her beautifully painted world, she looks down on those who attempt to destroy it and has no sympathy for them. Most of the elemental magic in the world are granted to casters by the Muse of Harmony. She is the second-most popular deity, and many earth-concious races such as Elves, Centaurs, Dryads, etc. pray to her. ~ + ~Lastly, there is the Muse of Symphony. She's the least popular, due to her chaotic nature. She believes most in evolution and progress, and believes that destruction leads to creation, death leads to birth, and that everything is split into good and evil and there is no in-between. There are few churches that pray to the Muse of Symphony solely, but she did contribute to the creation of Melodia, so they do not think that she is evil either, and is included in general churches that worship all three. Darker, more chaotic magicks are granted by the Muse of Symphony. Mostly Savages, Nocturlings, and some Nymphs pray to her. ~ + ~Keep in mind that the races that were listed under each Muse are just the general majority. Meaning that yes, a Dryad might worship the Muse of Melody or a Vampire might worship the Muse of Harmony. ~ + ~The two images above are different variations of The Mistral, a universal symbol in all churches, regardless as to which muse they are dedicated too. It resembles a twinkle, in a way, and is the symbol for all living things. Looking closely at each of the Muse's emblems, you can see a tiny mistral present in each of them. (Not to be confused with a Minstrel )[/center]

The three muses, working together to make a true, delicate piece of art. A very detailed, description, nice though and at least it tells us a bit more about the Deities in Melodia. I especially like the emblems though, they represent each quite well, and give us something besides a name, to help refer to them.
It would be nice if, at one point, they actual go and pray or rest at one of the churches. Oooooooh especially a Cathedral, I wonder what that would be like.
Anyways, the fact that different races pray to different goddess' is an interesting fact, something that we can definetly build up on. Great idea Kuro.

Heh, nice, so you finally got this up, eh? Anywho, I just don't see Aura actually worshipping a normal god. So maybe she'll be one of the few who dont. But as for my other characters...well, I'll definitely have some fun with this.

YES. FINALLY. The religion and "goddesses" of this world. no more weird gods popping up outta nowhere. Jeez. You'll have to try and find it in your infinite wisdom to forgive those new of us for trying to be original. Or, more accurately, thinking that the dieties of the world could be made up, as they essentially didn't exist at all until this topic was made. Jeez. :/

^ It's okay, I understand that making a Cleric would be hard since I hadn't actually created the deities yet. I don't blame you for making your own deity for the sake of your character, it's really not your fault ^^;
I'm sure Sobi didn't mean to offend you.

This brings alot of influence to the world of melodia. It wouldnt be a world without religions, i guess. And my characters, like Daeher's, are all aetheists.

Ok, I was already aware that there would be muses and whatnot since i helped kuro brainstorm a little of melodia. I DEEPLY APOLOGIZE to those who feel ever so offended by extremely offlandish remark. Really.
It's just knowing what was in store, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of "what the heck?" Overal, your idea was good. certainly interesting. just relax.

Overal, your idea was good. certainly interesting. just relax. *Outlandish. But it's nice to see you're sensitive to newer people, instead of making what could be considered indirect/sarcastic jabs at them. Anyway, I am calm/relaxed. It's just that (like yourself), I get a twinge when rude comments (subtle or not) are made at me, let alone when I don't think I deserve them (which is how I saw your first post). That aside, thank you! I did try to make it unique. Oh well, I believe it's the Muse of Melody for me then? =O

But, yeah... I like the symbols. The mistral sign is definitely in the "Silver Light" symbol. XD

ha. i've been doing that a lot lately.
so......due to the fact that these muses have *finally* been posted up, does this mean we gotta modify our profiles to fit these muses into our characters' lives and whatnot?

Not entirely. I mean, if they have a big role in your character's lives then sure, but it's not a requirement.
