RULES & GUIDELINES
Welcome to the Battle Arena! ^^ I've decided to put up some Rules/Guidelines since I've seen some interest in it recently.
What is it?
First of all, the Battle Arena is a place where people can have short-term RPs (very short) that focus on a single battle, and end when the battle ends. They don't have a plot, a backstory, or even a reason as to why the characters are there, they're just basically shoved into a parallel dimension where they can fight with others.
- The fight is NOT to the death.
- Unless specified, the battle does NOT leave the designated area. So, if the battle is being held in an actual arena, don't go off into town to buy potions
- Nothing that happens in the BA affects anything else in MoM. If your character's arm is cut off, they'll still have it anywhere else.
- Characters already in an RP are allowed to come fight here, as the Battle Arena takes place in a pocket dimension where nothing in here affects anything out there. Also, these are meant to be short RPs, not long ones with long lasting effects.
Types of Battles
- 1 vs 1
These battles are made up of two people fighting against each other, hence the name. No other characters are allowed in. - Open Invitation
This is another kind of 1 vs 1 battle, in which you pick one character and create a thread called "xx's Open Invitation". As the name implies, your invitation is open to anyone and anyone may accept the challenge.
[/li][li] Group Battle
As the name suggests, these battles are made up of two or more groups fighting each other. Each group must have an equal amount of members fighting , and more than one user's character can be in a group. For example, Group A might be Jaynus, Aura and Illaria, and Group B might be Persha, Theo and Kai. Persha & Jaynus are both played by me, but they're both allowed to participate.
Group battles can be made up of only 2 members though. If each member has enough characters to fit the specifications, they can have a group battle with 3 Characters from one member and 3 characters from another member!
[/li][li] Monster Dens
These are specially hosted by an administrator/moderator. Monster dens involve a certain group of people (you may only join at the beginning, once registration is closed, you cannot join). Monster Dens are made up of a group of people, all on the same team, sent to exterminate a certain group of monsters from their den. These may be a bit longer than 1 vs 1 and Group battles. Monster Den battles begin AT the Monster Den. A den is like a nest, not like a cave/dungeon. Meaning that it might just be a huge open area filled with monsters to kill.

Organizing Challenges & Group Battles
- Challenging Someone
In the event of a 1 vs 1, someone must obviously start the battle. Post a topic using this format : "[1v1] xx Challenging yy". Obviously replacing xx and yy with the names of your characters. You can challenge anyone, and the user of that character has the right to accept or decline your challenge in the thread. If it is declined, your thread is deleted and you can try again. If accepted, a battle will commence. - Organizing a Group Battle
Group Battles are slightly different, since they involve more characters and members. The host of the battle will post the specifications, like:
Number of Groups: blahblah
Number of Characters per group: blahblah
Once you have enough characters per group (It's first come first serve!) then you can begin. - Monster Dens can only be organized by Officials, so don't worry about these.
Battle Roleplaying
- When fighting in a roleplay, you rarely take a direct hit. You always give the other person a chance.
Illaria stabbed Kankuro with her sword and he died.- Illaria attempted to stab Kankuro with her sword.
- In which case, Kankuro can then respond with something like:
- Kankuro countered her attack with his own blade.
- Kankuro felt the pain of the steel that sliced through his side.
- Kankuro ducked, dodging the attack.
- Kankuro countered her attack with his own blade.
[/li][li] However, your character CANNOT be invincible. Not being hit at all is rather unfair, and you must be realistic. If your character is being cornered by two warriors and your character is clumsy and slow, he can't dodge them both miraculously.
[/li][li]These battles aren't competitions. They are just for fun. Don't drag them on FOREVER just because you don't wanna lose. If this occurs, they will just be shut down before the battle can end. If the battle remains interesting and active, then they could go on for a while, but your characters are human (not literally, but yeah). They can't survive forever.
