Registration: Open! Characters Needed: 7 Roq Mountain, a fort built into the Amethia mountain range, is home to many civilized Winged. The Harpies, a subrace of Winged who have become feral and wild, choosing only to speak in the ancient tongue of the Winged, and attacking anything that threatens their territory, have gotten a little wilder.
A pack of Harpies have built a nest right in the middle of one of the mountain's main paths, forcing the inhabitants of Roq Mountain to flee into their houses as the Harpies attack anyone on the path. A squad of about seven people is needed to teach them a lesson and send them back to their side of the mountain.(Just a little something for more Members to participate in Just post as your character approaching the nest - Registration is first come, first served!)

The rugged terrain was what set in front of Kankuro as he walked the path that many of Roq Mountain's inhabitants didn't dare tread. The lust for blood seemed to already flow through the Silver Light Captain's mind as he cackled in madness. Retrieving his shield from his back and drawing his sword from his sheath, he continued forward just a bit more. Stopping on the road, he leaned his sword over his shoulder and grinned. "Harpies, huh? Heard they taste like chicken..."

Adara slithered up the path, looking deceptively lazy as she held her flail in one hand, the other on the hilt of her dagger. "This should be fun," she mused, then spotted someone up ahead, not very far away.

Reiko joined the group of warriors headed for teh Harpy nest and was interested in seeing how well they would be able to fight against a pack of aerial enemies. The odds might have been against them but Reiko was looking forward to it none the less

(This'll be the 5th character; 2 more are needed. Keep in mind you can enter as many of your own characters as you want.)
Persha dragged her feet up the mountain path. It was a brisk morning, but any morning, brisk or not, was torturous for the teen. Still, an early-morning harpy-whacking would be good training for the Magus. Using her jeweled sceptre as a walking stick, Persha revised all the spells and incantations she had been studying in her head, somewhat happy to finally have a target she can test them out on and not feel even a twinge of guilt - not that she ever felt guilty when using those poor snails and crickets around Melsaria's garden as her test subjects, but still. She could practice her magic and say it was for a good cause this time.

Sendoran was busy feeding Bunny when he felt a cold chill travel his spine. It wasn't the usual bone-chilling feeling he got when he sensed an enemy. No, this was something different. Something worse than a thousand monsters put together.
He turned around and wished he finally got that heart attack; for right in front of him was Persha.
Oh dear. Of all the places I had to meet her. Now i have to be her babysitter again. Dear Gods, I promise to be a nicer old man. Just PLEASE let me have at least a week without seeing this woman.
When he opened his eyes however, he realized Persha was wearing his favourite revealing top. He quickly went back into praying.
On second thought, I take that back.
He began walking towards the heavenly endowed lady

Persha strode casually alongside her former professor. "Hello again, Old ma- er, Send- uh, Professor Zeffir," She greeted, keeping up a light jog, "Gonna show those harpies who's boss, eh? Maybe conjure a storm cloud, shoot a barrage of fireballs, all that other magicky - Hey." She stopped talking and running abruptly, her arms automatically crossiing over her chest. Her mood, previously light and pleasant, took a nosedive. "I don't care how old you might be, and how bad your eyesight is because of it, but my face? Yeah, last time I checked, it was up here!" She reached forward and delicately pinched the old man's nose, pulling his entire face up so their eyes could meet. "Much better."
Normally, Persha was used to this, and sometimes quite enjoyed it; it was beneficial, after all, in more than one way when a teacher's eyes decided to linger slightly below the neck for slightly too long. But, she wasn't a student anymore, and if she wasn't getting out of detentions or getting bonus marks or something akin to those, there was no way she would allow herself to be ogled like a finely-chiseled marble statue in a museum.

Kankuro was not a patient man when it came to waiting for any sort of reinforcements. He continued marching forward, stepping just outside the nest of the Harpies, most likely resided in the mountains. In his drunken stupor of blood thirst, he inhales his breath and lets out a thunderous yell "THE SILVER LIGHT HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF YOUR NUMEROUS CRIMES COMMITTED AGAINST THE WILL OF THE MUSES! COME OUT, HEATHENS, AND ACCEPT YOUR FATE!" As he let out this yell, he heard the echoes bounce about the stillness of the earthly walls. He knew full well that all within the vicinity heard his shout and he let out a satisfied, warped cackle, just waiting for the hillsides to swarm of his winged prey.

Adara growled irritably at Kankuro, resisting the impulse to hurt him for shouting. "You do realize that in about a minute, there's going to be dozens of harpies trying to eat us, all at once, and there's only five of us? Thank you, very much, for being a complete idiot." She gripped her flail and drew her dagger, waiting and listening for the screeching and flapping that would herald the arrival of the harpies.

Kankuro glanced at the Naga who made such remarks of him. "There are three others? Tch, so bothersome. And if you feel that you're going to die, turn back." Kankuro started stepping closer towards the mountain side. "Oh, and don't get in my way, or else there will be more than Harpy heads that go flying..."

Persha continued along the deserted path, spotting Kankuro and Adara. Seeing as they were the only two out and about, and were both armed heavily, she logically assumed that they too were here to mop up the Harpies. Even in broad daylight, she found the Naga somewhat menacing, so she curved her path and walked over to Kankuro.
Blinking the sunlight out of her eyes, she asked, "Are you another exteriminator? Excellent, you look big! I'll need all the protection I can get."

"... You've got to be kidding me."
Mordicus looked up towards the top of the path, and into the faces of the supposed "crew" that was taking on this group of wild Harpies. All he wanted was to be on his way towards the next town, and of course, this had to be taking place. What was even worse was that he knew half the people in the group, if not all of them. While he had enjoyed his time with them, he had also learned to enjoy his time away from them as well.
Finally, he reached the top, and came close to the group. "Hey, princess. Long time no see, babe." He called out to Persha, winking in his flirtatious manner. Despite not really being very fond of the girl, he had to at least be the entertainment of the group somehow. "You gonna freeze these birdie's legs together or something? With one of your little ice spells?" He mocked her waving her sceptre, pretending to duck and shriek at an invisible Harpy coming his way.
As he turned, he nearly bumped into Sendoran. "Hey, gramps! You doin' okay? Sure you won't fall asleep on us this time?" He chuckled. Oh, this might actually be fun, he thought. I get to annoy people AND use magic at the same time.

"With an attitude like that, human, you're going to have your throat ripped out. Take it from me, I'm sure I've seen more battles than *you* have, and getting cocky like that? Gets warriors killed." Adara told Kankuro, never taking her eyes off the cliffs.

Kankuro just let out a laugh, hearing the Naga say such words. "So, people who fight 'much more' battles boast about such things? Sounds like you're compensating for something you lack." Kankuro cackled, focusing on the hill with anticipation, looking ready to pounce on the sight of one of these harpies to show up.
But, just before that, he noticed himself approached by another woman, a young human woman at that. Kankuro turned to face the girl. Before saying anything, his eyes glanced at her face for a moment, only for his eyes to travel down and up her body. To say the least, she was a good sight for sore eyes. After feeding his eyes to the young girl's beauty, he glanced back into the girls eyes, he smiled "I don't mind playing hero, as long as my young, blessed mistress rewards me with her company tonight." He bowed to her with a nod of his head.
He glanced over, noticing some rather vulgar looking young man approached the young mistress. Kankuro turned around, pointing his sword at the man, holding his blade far enough to keep it from being a threat to the young male. "'Baby'? Is that how you ruffians address ladies now? My goddess, such crude behavior."
