"No, we tell warriors who don't have experience or patience why they're being idiotic and suicidal." Hearing someone behind them, Adara looked back. She raised an eyebrow. These three had better be able to hold up under attack, that was all she could say.

Sendoran and Bunny were having fun. The duo hadn't been in a battle in a very long time and the old mage was at his very best shape having been well-rested and taken his pills.
He looked at the small group of warriors and a broad smile grew on his face. "Well, this should prove to be an exciting day in history!" He truly thought he was being "cool" and "hip". When he saw that the rest of the group didn't react he grumbled to himself and walked further up ahead.

Persha twirled one of her many violet locks around her finger, hoping to milk this Warrior as much as she could. Sure, it was just a tiny bit degrading, but she had to keep her eyes on the big picture here: survival. Best case scenario, this brute would jump in front of her right as a Harpy dove to attack her, and his sacrifice would result in his demise, and the Harpy would be gone, and Persha could go home happy and healthy.
While plotting, she heard the unmistakable voice of Mordicus. "Mordiiiiii!" She squealed, sounding as excruciatingly annoying as possible. "You're here, too? Oh boy, what are the odds?! This fight will be more fun than I - "
Persha's sentence was never quite finished, as a piercing shriek from overhead, signaling the arrival of the harpies, pierced their ears.

Adara growled, head snapping up as the harpies attacked. She whirled her flail and struck one that dived at her, hearing a crack as the metal connected with the wing. A grin crossed her face. This was going to be fun, idiot teammates or not.

Kankuro heard the screeches behind him, causing him to glance back and grin. "I'll be looking forward to your company tonight, mi'lady..." Kankuro said before turning, charging forward at the incoming Harpy attackers. Kankuro got good momentum going, launching himself into the air. Two harpies were unfortunate to find themselves caught under Kankuro as he landed. Then, in an action that looked like a psycho murderer than a warrior, Kankuro flipped his sword and stabbed both Harpies to death, their blood already splattering all over Kankuro's body. He didn't stop until he noticed that both Harpies were dead. And he stood up, glancing around as more Harpies started surrounding him and squacking their disapproval of his actions. Kankuro glared with them with crazed eyes, cackling. "Come..."

Adara whirled to face a new group of Harpies. She smirked. "Come on, let's get this over with." She flung herself into their midst, stabbing and slashing with her dagger as her flail crashed into the Harpies, the spikes spattering blood. One tried to come up from behind, screeching. She glanced back, and her tail swung up and slammed into it. She rebalanced and kept fighting. This was what she did. This was what she lived for - the rush of a fight, the smell of blood, the feel of her weapons arrested in motion as they struck flesh.

The mentioning of Mordicus' friendly actions towards Persha made the young man's head snap to attention at the speaker. "Ruffian? Who the hell're you calling a ruffian, you pompous tin can?" A smirk was thrown in Kankuro's direction as Mordicus taunted the knight for his name calling. He studied the warrior before him, recognizing the armor and weapon all too well. "Well well well. What've we got here, a knight, huh? What happened to you, sir? You couldn't get any ladies, so you had to go into the service to compensate for it?"
However, hearing the young mage nearly squeal his name in delight made the timeweaver clench his teeth in aggravation. Why did I ever tell that group my name, and how I hated that nickname the elf gave me? He kept these behind a straight face however, turning to her to speak, when he heard a shriek pierce the sky.
"Well, looks like the party arrived." He said under his breath, smirking a little. Grabbing his longsword, he struck at one of the harpy's legs as it went flying by, creating a nice gash in its leg. The winged savage screeched and moved out of his range. Mordicus grinned and then looked over to the others in the group, seeing all of them take on the harpies. He even saw Persha defend herself (although, her ability was less than par) against an oncoming strike of one of the bird ladies against her. "Not bad, sweetheart. Not-"
His eyes widened as he saw another harpy come into view, this one above her, and almost unnoticeable behind the terrain. The other members were too busy focusing on the other flying birds to notice this new enemy. It had a clear intent on snatching the spoiled girl with its talons and hoisting her away in the air, while no one was looking. The bird dived, aiming for Persha, its eyes alit with a glee of madness.
Mordicus sighed. "Damn, guess I have to break this out early, huh?" He clenched his teeth and focused, the world slowing and the surprise harpy's attack becoming more noticeable and easier to work around. Grabbing the girl and scooping her into his arms, he made his way away from the new harpy, and then released time back to its normal state. The bird crashed into the ground, its talons raking air, and a gaping Persha staring at where she once was as Mordicus looked down at her in his arms. This scene was all too familiar to him.
"Honestly, if you insist on being saved, princess, could you at least work on the 'damsel in distress' part? You keep doing these and I'm gonna find myself nearly breaking my back from always saving you." His grin was cocky, and his eyes showed he was clearly enjoying the moment, despite being in danger.

Persha felt the familiar feeling of having something completely unexpected happen a second later without her being even slighty aware of what exactly occurred. Momentarily dumbfounded, she then reminder herself that Mordi was a Timeweaver, making moments like this all but rare. Swooped up in his arms again, she felt her heart hammer - hopefully due to the adrenaline rush, and nothing else - and spat out, "Well if you insist on saving me can you at least play the part of a Knight in Shining armor a tad more convincingly? I'll have you know, there are men who would carve their hearts out with rusty daggers to have the chance to save me!" She quickly hopped out of his arms immediately after saying this, not wanting to be dropped again.
"And one more thing, Mr. Mordicus Draconia, you may be this all-powerful Timeweaver with super powers or whatever, but your head is stuck way too far up your - AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
Karma did her lovely job as a Harpy, taking over the first one's job, swooped in and grabbed Persha under her arms, taking flight with her before the others could do anything.

Retrieving his sword out from the chest of a dead harpy, he heard the loud scream. He spun a bit, launching his sword into the air, throwing it like he would a throwing dagger. Kankuro then measured where he should stand as he watched the sword sink right into the skull of the harpy who tried carrying the girl off. The harpy looked like it was trying to keep float out of involuntary reflex but, by this time, the girl in it's claws was falling back to the earth. Lucky for her, what she landed in was the arms of Kankuro. Kankuro smiled as he placed the girl back on her feet. "Sorry, I'll keep better watch over you." He told her as he turned, seeing the girl's kidnapper plummet to the ground. Kankuro retrieved his sword from the bird and watched as more were flying at him. "Cover me with your magic, I'll keep them busy." Kankuro said as he moved forward to meet the birds head on.

The violet-haired magus felt only a momentary sweeping sensation as she was lifted, then quickly dropped, landing in the arms of yet another man. 'Funny...', she thought to herself, rubbing her arms where the Harpy had grabbed her, 'It usually takes a tavern and a few more drinks before ending up in the arms of two different men in such a short span of time.'
Being let down gently, Persha regained her balance and orientation on the ground, then hearing Kankuro's orders. "Yes... Cover you with... magic... I can totally do that..." said Persha, absolutely unsure of herself. Holding her scepter in a stance that looked somewhat magical, she tried to summon a slightly stronger burst of wind to deter the harpies, as they seemed to enjoy fighting in the air. She felt the breeze around her strengthen ever so slightly, though sadly, it was impossible to tell whether that had anything to do with her magic or if the wind had suddenly picked up on its own.
'Eh, we'll just say that was my doing.'

Bunny was all over the skies shooting fireball after fireball. Eventually he got tired and need Sendoran to replace him.
Flamma sagitta! (Flame Arrow). 12 flame arrows flew out of Sendoran's hands and towards the harpies. 4 Harpies were hit by 3 arrows. They went down quickly. The old magus decided this was not worth the trouble and towards the closest rock and sat down. He would observe the battle from afar and help should the need arise.
Bunny wasn't ready to stop yet. He was having fun. His last fireballs were 2 years ago.

Letting out a slight 'Tch' of annoyance at being outdone by a rabbit, Persha decided to up her game just a bit. Relaxing the harnesses on her magical power, she held her sceptre up and felt it vibrate slightly, energy coursing from her body to the weapon. Letting it build up for just a few moments while praying she had studied the spell properly, she let her magic loose and a light shock flew from her sceptre's tip to the wings of a near-by harpy, all in a brief second. It didn't completely wreck it, but the shock paralyzed the harpy's wings, which, in Persha's books, counted as a small victory for her.

The shocked Harpy that Persha's spell had struck, left it rendered defenseless, only to be cleaved in two by Kankuro's blood-soaked blade. Kankuro turned his head back to Persha and bowed his head to her. "That was a good spell. Thanks, princess." He complimented to Persha as five Harpies surrounded all sides of him. However, the Harpies found them slipping into a blur of reckless sword slashes that seemed to be happening all around Kankuro. Only a mere second passed when the Harpies looked to have imploded in gushes of blood, the five bodies dropping to the floor around Kankuro. His clothes stained in their blood, the warrior chuckled a bit as he glared at his next opponent.

Adara was laughing as she whirled her flail. The group of Harpies that had attacked her backed off, suddenly regretting their choice of opponent. "Afraid? I don't blame you." She remembered a few fights with Harpies she'd had before. They had a lot of pride. "Not every day you featherbags come up against a real fighter. Maybe you should just fly back to your nests -"She brought her flail around and it smashed open a skull as the group rushed her again. That's more like it!

"A Good spell?!"
Persha had just been complimented! The sheer rarity of this event made it one to be written down in all the history books of the world. Fully letting this get to her head, as that was how Persha was, she began shooting off more small bolts of electricity. She still didn't manage to do much more than stun them, but it was better than nothing. And 'nothing' was the usual result of her spells, so Persha was quite satisfied with herself.
