After blinking a few times, trying to register the situation in his mind, Jay spoke. "That was... quite an entrance." was all he could bring himself to say.
Being a bartender of one of the most popular bars in the city brought many odd individuals, but today was the first time Jay had seen so many in such a short span of time. "Any reason you just broke down our door?" he asked the elf.

"It wouldn't move. Why else would I barge in?" Kai looked at the Ascherite, her glare harsh enough to make anyone think twice about approaching her. "And I didn't break it, I just busted the lock and bolt." She put her rapier down, but not in the sheath just yet. She also tried to keep herself hidden in her hood- she was sure she'd rather avoid contact at all costs.
She finally looked around, and noticed the room full of knocked out warriors. Ignoring the mess, she walked past the Ascherite to look at the hanging banner for the call to arms for Amethia. She read the entire thing and burst out laughing. The laughter was cold, harsh and the sound was chilling. She quieted quickly, for she never showed who she was to anyone, let alone strangers.
"Hah. A bunch of idiots. All of them." She turned around to look at the Ascherite and noticed the Slyph right behind him. "Trust me," Kai said, glaring at the Sylph, "the feeling's mutual." She walked up to the Ascherite, pointing her finger out from him, her cape draping on her arm. "You. Are there any available rooms upstairs?"

"Oh, okay, so the door's not broken, just the hinges and lock, thanks." Jay said with obviously sarcastic enthusiasm, blinking a few times. "Anyway, there are rooms available upstairs. One's being occupied by a sleeping winged, and methinks it'd be best not to wake her up." he said, his eyebrows raised at this new individual.
"Mind telling us your name?"

"My name?" Kai looked back at him. "Of all things in the world. You want to know my name?" She smiled somewhat evilly, because telling her name like this was always her favorite part at shooing people away.
"My name is Kai. It means "Death"." She turned back around. "A winged one? Great. Just what I need." Sarcasm rolled off her tongue like a slab of butter on hot mashed potatoes. She sheathed her rapier, her mind now noticing something else. "Let me guess. You are what's leftover of a brawl that started sometime earlier, and now you're going to leave early, correct?" She began walking upstairs. "I'll be joining you tomorrow. If you even think about asking why, I'll kill you in your sleep." She paused, letting the threat sink in. "I'll be resting here tonight." She was sure she would hear a complaint, so she tossed a silver coin in the air. "For your hospitality."
She turned around to give the Ascherite one last glare. "Oh, and by the way, I suggest you ignore me, otherwise you'll regret ever meeting me in the first place." She walked upstairs and passed the first room and found an empty one to sleep in.

Aura came out behind Jay as the elf went up the stairs and into the empty room, safely away from her. She puffed out her chest and rose to her full height, still seething about Kai's single comment. She walked around the bar, heading towards the alcohol and trying to hide the fact she was ever scared at all.
"Well, she wasn't very nice, was she?" She asked Jay, her voice being a little more high-pitched than usual. "Her only redeaming quality is probably the money." She mumbled, attracted to the sparkling coin on the counter.

Theo's eyes once again sparkled with enthusiasm. Jay's bitter comment vanished in her mind, and her care-free mindset was now locked onto the extremely ani-social, typically annoyingly angsty pantsy anti-hero she had read about in her stories and comic books. And now, finally, she was seeing one right before her eyes. A real-life, in the flesh person who would likely murder her just for being there! ...Now this was an oppourtunity she was not going to miss. After all, she would need an anti-social pirate aboard her ship. The more variety, the better.
Theo smiled like a cat, gave a thumbs up to Aura (she was not quite sure what spurred this action) and began sneaking along gracefully as she could manage, behind Kai. Once on the second floor she had stifle a giggle This, was going to bea lot of fun. She only hoped that she would still be alive afterwards. And if so, perhaps her new crew member would give her candy. She could see it now....
"Please Captain, have some candy. I have too much and I know you would appreciate it. After all, one who despises talking such as myself has no need for something so sweet and utterly delectable! Please, i present this to you, O' great Theo, Master of this ship, and humbly pray that you will accept this gift on my behalf, from the one who hates talking. Yes. I hate talking. I will be quiet now."
"Why thankies Kai!"
Yes, it would be wonderful indeed...
The androgynous Neptunite then pounced on Kai, yelling a cheerful welcome, "HEYA THERE SAILOR! ARE YOU HERE TO JOIN MY CREW?" She stayed on Kai's back, perfectly content where she was, eagerly awaiting an answer.

Kai walked upstairs, content at the mood she left downstairs. She began walking past the first room, and was about to go into the second one when she felt a force land on her back with a thud. She lost her balance for a few seconds, steadied herself, and then almost lost her hearing as the Neptunite shouted in her ear.
Kai scowled, and reached behind her, grabbing the Neptunite by the back of her neck with both hands.
"Get. Off. Me." Taking in a deep breath, she used her all might and pulled the Neptunite over her head and threw her to the floor. Then she unsheathed her rapier and had it at the Neptunite's throat, her glare unmistakingly full of anger and annoyance.
"Whatever place you're from, I want no part of. Got it?" She stood there, waiting for the Neptunite to understand her seriousness. "I have no time for childish games, nymph. If you want to make me happy, stay out of my way." And with that, she sheathed her rapier again, entered the second empty room, closed the door behind her, and locked it.

After hearling a loud thud coming from the second floor, Jay glanced at the ceiling worriedly, hoping that his tavern wouldn't have to endure any more destruction than it had tonight. As if acting as a painful reminder, a gust of cold night wind from outside blew in unexpectedly.
Jaynus picked the door up and held it up against the doorway, knowing that a particular strong gust of wind could easily knock it down, but deciding he was too tired to fix it now. "I'll just fix it in the morning..." he yawned.

Aura was nursing her Bastard Hippo and was so startled when Theo gave her the thumbs up; a devious grin immediately spead across her face. She was starting to like the Neptunite, even more so when she annoyed the people who had snubbed her. She sniffed, and followed Theo up the stairs, but staying a good ways back just in case the elf decided to get violent.
Unsurprisingly, her prediction of violence wasn't too far off; though her admiration grew still as she watched Theo preform a perfect flying-tackle. Maybe her dancing skills weren't too bad at all, she mused, watching with a wince as Theo was thrown to the ground and glaring at the elf's back. Nevertheless, she wasn't one to go diving into a battle she would probably lose, so she just hung back -- for now.
When Kai entered her room, Aura took the opportunity to run around the corner she had been hiding behind and helping Theo to her feet, taking special care not to disturb the six-fingered hand (now, *that* was strange). The poor thing looked a bit dazed and out of it, but Aura still spoke to her in a hushed yet happy tone.
"Hey, don't worry about that Meany...erm...McMuffin?" She looked unsure for a second. "We'll think of something to get her back."

Lydia stuck her head out the door to see what the heck the commotion was about when she saw Theo lying on the ground and Aura trying to help her up. Though her vision was blurry because she didnt have her glasses on she was able to tell that it was the two "kids" of the group.
She labeled them the kids because they both acted like kids and were small enough to be them. "Please go play somewhere else." Lydia said tiredly. "This isn't a playground. In fact, you should probably be going to bed right about now." she slammed the door and went back to her bed.

Hearing small chatter outside her door, Kai kept her hood up and listened. After she heard the door slam and the other voice quiet down (which she guessed was the Sylph's), she walked towrds the door and prepared her usual illusion. It had worked (for the most part) for the past 50 years, so she wasn't exactly afraid of what these the Neptunite and Sylph were planning (she was certain she wasn't going to get through this journey without being made fun of or being the center of at least one prank). After the illusion was set, she pulled down her hood, slowly letting her black hair come out and hang over her shoulders. She looked into the mirror on the drawer, seeing her emerald eyes cast a cold gaze. She sighed, and sat on the bed beside her. Reaching into one of her pockets, she pulled out the note she had been given by a mute Elven male many years ago. Although he was mute, he was a local town's fortune teller, and upon seeing Kai walk into town, he had actually taken up the crazy idea to present the paper to her with what he saw about her. Now, 25 years later, the paper was crinkled, and it was old as well. Slowly, Kai traced her fingers over the Elven words her heart had already memorized.
"You are in pain, yet you do not show it. You suffer quietly, but you refuse help from those around you. You fear the unknown, yet you are searching endlessly for it. This path of darkness will be your guiding light when you least expect it.
When you feel the time has come to find out who you are, follow your heart and let it lead you to where it knows you should go. When you get there, follow the group that is residing in there and accompany them on their quest. You might understand yourself by looking and interacting with other people."
Kai sighed again, wondering just how this supposed "prophecy "was going to work. Trying to interact with others scared her; they never understood her, or about how she couldn't remember her past. At all. She had decided a long time ago it was better to harden her heart and carry her burden alone, than to trust on others who would never understand her.
She yawned, the moonlight outside casting sillhouettes of tree branches and leaves on her window. She double checked to make sure her illusion was still active, and then laid on her bed and slept.
If anyone was going to intrude her privacy right now, they would see nothing but an empty room, and hear nothing but silence. That was the way Kai lived- on her own, and always cautiously.

Theo had only glared at Kai, when the big sharp metal poking stick of pain was being pointed at her thraot. Perhaps Theo was bold, or even brave. Of course, those knowing Theo would sigh exasperattedly, knowing that she herself couldn't realize the danger she had almost gotten herself into.
She was certainly pleased however when Aura helped her up. "Thanks Bo-- um, Aura. We just need to find the perfect way..............." She put a hand to her mouth and stifled a chuckle. "We could find something squishy and put it in her pants."
Theo remembered when she had tried a similar stunt on her older sister, or, Number Two as her father would say. She has barely visible scar over her right eyebrow to show for it; when Number Two had thrown a rock in Theo's direction as retaliation.

Leir's nose jiggled as he took in the various scents surrounding him. He had just arrived in this village, and already he had no idea where he was. Being a creature of the forest, he rarely wandered into cities and the like... but Leir was in need of a good washing, and as far as he could tell, there were no clean bodies of water near the area. The refreshing scent was normally accompanied by some sort of bodily fluid or decay... besides, who knew what the sailors did in the port? So, he decided to drop by.
The streets were completely empty, enabling him to smell out his surroundings with ease. As he kept walking, the warm scent of alcohol and a burning fire pleasantly filled his nostrils... which had been immediately assulted by the smell of sweat, dirt and flesh spiking through his nose. At this, he had to bring a hand-like paw up to his face. A pierced ear twitched back and his pale blue eyes began to water... one of the downsides of having a strong sense of smell... But there was something so tempting about the initial scent, that he found himself drawing closer and closer, until he found himself infront of a tavern.
Without a second thought, he lightly pushed at the door, and recieved a bit of a shock when it completely gave way, in a vertical direction. This hadn't elicited a yelp or a jump, but rather caused both of his tall ears to slick back against his head, and his tail to droop.... and then a pungent smell of dirty warrior flooded him, this time brining both paws to his face. He probably smelled just as bad... but at the moment, he was bliking furiously, trying to clear his already watering eyes.
"What the heck happened in here?" He half-demanded, his speach muffled by his furry hands. His clear eyes wandering over the vast stretch of unconscious bodies indicated what he was reffering to.

(( ^ Just thought I'd point this out, they're in Persys Port town, a port town on the edge of the ocean XD )) -----------------------
When all the others were upstairs, save for the silent dryad and the sleeping warriors, Jaynus went to work. If they were going to be travelling, he decided to pack up some of the ingredients he'd need to prepare some famous drinks for the small group. He also decided to make a small pack for each of them with a bit of food and travelling money in it (Oh, he'd make a wonderful housewife someday).
Rummaging through crates to find ingredients, he came upon a jar of unopened candies... Authentic Ascherite-Made Flaredrops, to be exact. These candies were no doubt tasty, but had a tendency to burn the tongue of anyone trying them for the first time. Wondering whether or not he should take them along, he decided to cram a handful into his pack.
Pausing for a moment, he reconsidered, and dropped the handful into Theo's, hoping that it would be enough to thank her for helping out tonight. Whether or not she meant to, Jay decided, was not important. Drunk or not, she did clean up.
His work was interrupted with a crash.
Smiling wearily, Jaynus turned around, finding it odd that he was unsurprised to find another odd adventurer popping in late at night, the door of the tavern lying once again on the floor.
"Hello..." he said slowly. "What brings you here? Signing up for the war? Need a place to crash?

((^^;; yyyyeah, I seemed to have forgotten about that.... it has been fixed.))
Once recovering from the initial attack of foul smell, Leir stepped over the fallen door, knelt down before it and lifted up against the wall. Even though he was focusing on maneouvering it back into place, he could hear another's voice clearly.
"More like a place to wash up, actually.War isn't really up my alley." His tone was momentarily flat due to concetrating on sliding the hinges back together. Even though he knew it wouldn't hold against another shove, at least it looked right. The job done, he turned around, rubbing his padded palms together and taking a few steps towards the Ascherite. "You may want to put up a sign, or something, to avoid the same thing from hapening." He smiled and held out a furry hand. "I'm Leir, by the way."
